Introduction

    Free File Monitor provides you an accurate file filter to quickly find the wanted files for monitoring. Files can be specified to filter when they are added, renamed, removed, modified and so on. You will never need to worry about losing a folder or file no matter how much disk activity there is.

Step 1. Set Actions

    Launch Free File Monitor and switch to "Filter" tab. "Watch subtree" is checked by default to track the changes in the folders as well as subfolders in the directory. Move mouse to the "Actions" and you can define whether to include file adding, deletion, modifying, renaming, etc. in the list. All items are checked, you can uncheck it according to your needs.

Step 2. Set Notifications

    The "Notifications" includes file name, directory name, attributes, size, security, etc. Once checked, the program will display this information in the main pane.
